Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) registers a cumulative growth of 8.7 per cent in the month of November, 2014. The country’s second largest car manufacturer and the largest passenger car exporter sold 35,511 vehicles last month and exported 18,500 vehicles with a cumulative sales of 54,011 units. Comparing with November 2013 sales, Hyundai recorded 6 per cent profit in domestic market with 14.3 per cent gain in export vehicles.

Commenting on the success of second generation i20 and cumulative sales in November, Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. VP- Sales and Marketing, HMIL stated, “Hyundai with a volume of 35,511 units indicate strong demand for Hyundai models, giving growth month after month bettering the industry slow growth. The strong investment of launching four new products in a years’ time has resulted in this growth. Today Hyundai has one of the youngest product portfolio lead by Elite i20 which has reached a landmark number of 10,500 units making it as the top seller amongst the strong Hyundai brands”

Elite i20 which made its global premiere here in India is rolling high ever since this flamboyant European looking hatch replaced the gen-first i20. Moreover, Hyundai is also taking one step ahead with Elite i20; the Korean automaker is testing a cross version of the Elite i20 and it looks more premium compared to the hatch with projector headlamps, daytime-running-LEDs and LED taillamps.
