Guess what, the time is perfect for the re-entry of Tucson in the country - anybody listening?
Hyundai made the world premier of Creta in the country and the vehicle kicked off really well. The very same month of the launch, Creta became the best seller in the segment with the vehicle rolling out nearly 7k units monthly. The South Korean automaker’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language is ticking all the right boxes with the vehicles based on this design are doing extremely well - second gen i20 (Elite i20), Creta (ix25 in China), Tucson, Santa-Fe, etc.

About the Tucson, rumor has it, the SUV is said to be re-entering the country. The first generation was launched in India in 2005 and was discontinued in 2010. If priced well, the lastest gen vehicle will probably do pretty well, firstly it looks way hotter than its competitors (CR-V, Yeti), secondly Hyundai has the largest dealership network compared to Tucson rivals. The engine option could include a 2.0-liter CRDi - 136PS/373 Nm along with the Creta’s 1.6-liter CRDi - 128PS/260 Nm to keep the prices competitive. Already selling in the UK and other markets, new Tucson was the first vehicle that featured Hyundai’s dual-clutch automatic. Hyundai may display it at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo.
About the Santa-Fe, the video also showcases Grand Santa-Fe which is not offered in the market. Speaking of the facelifted Santa-Fe in the TVC, the vehicle was first launched in Korea while it made its European debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. It is most likely to make its Indian debut at the upcoming 2016 Indian Auto Expo.
