Jaguar has been teasing its first ever crossover, the F-Pace, but lately they have finally showcased its side profile ahead of its Frankfurt Motor Show Reveal. It carries the same design ethics of its siblings and is largely similar to that of the C-X17 Concept.

The underpinning are based on Jaguar’s iQ[Al] platform that incorporates aluminum-intensive construction, making the car light and strong at the same time. It also gets a double wishbone front suspensions, while a integral link suspension at the rear. The insides are said to be “wide and spacious”, facilitating comfortable seating for 5 people and space for their luggage.

Power is expected to come from the new line of Ingenium motors that include efficient four cylinder gasoline and diesel units. While, the “S” trim of F-Pace will be powered by the 3.0 litre supercharged V6 and a supercharged 5.0 litre V8 that will be introduced in later stage. Moreover, there is a possibility of a fully electric drivetrain, but it won't be coming anytime soon.

The Solihull originated F-Pace will go on sale next year and might come to India in the same year. It will be competing against the likes of Audi Q5 BMW X3 Mercedes M-Class and with its cousin sister Land Rover Discovery Sport
