Maruti Suzuki WagonR Stingray Launch- Live

And we reach the day, when Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the much anticipated WagonR Stingray in India, which is basically a bigger version of the company's tall boy WagonR. To be positioned above the existing WagonR, the Stringray will be competing against the upcoming Grand i10. As per the information we have, the WagonR stingray will initially be launched in only petrol guise, later there might be a diesel version as well.

Update 1: Maruti Suzuki finally launches the much anticipated WagonR Stingray at a staring price of Rs 4.10 

lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The unveiling is being done by Mr. Kenichi Ayukawa, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited & MSI COO- Marketing & sales, Mayank Pareek.

Update 2: Maruti Suzuki WagonR Stingray has come in a total three variants- LXi, VXi, VXi (O) at Rs 4.10 lakh, 4.38L & 4.67 lakh respectively.

Update 3: Maruti Suzuki WagonR sports the same 1.0-litre K-Series petrol engine, which does its duty to the regular WagonR and few other Maruti Suzuki cars.

Update 4: The new WagonR Stingray has come up with some exciting features including driver info display, airbag, ABS, first-in-class projector headlamps, gun finished alloy wheels and black upholstery.

Update 5: In design, WagonR Stingray has got new bumpers, larger air dam, revised fog lamps, boot spoiler and several others, making it much sportier than the regular WagonR.

Update 6: Commenting at the launch, Kenichi Ayukawa said, "With Stingray, we carry forward our foscus to make our best sellers even more attractive. The aggressively designed Stingray reinforces the fact that compact cars that are high on utility and reliability can also be premium and stylish. FOr the younger customers who aspire for a bold and aggressively styled car, the Stingray will be a delightful choice."

Update 7: Speaking on the current situation of the Indian automotive industry, Mayank Pareek said that interest rates will come down and we see the industry growing at 7 percent currently.

Update 8: The launch event wraps up here, MSI will be launching the all new WagonR Stingray at all Delhi based dealerships in next two days.
