The German luxury carmaker, Mercedes-Benz will unveil the new 2015 C Class at the North American International Auto Show. If media reports to be believed, the company is also planning to introduce the GLA 45 AMG and S600 Maybach at the Motor Show.
The GLA 45 AMG concept was recently unveiled at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. However, the model to be showcased at the Detroit Motor Show will be a production version. The production version model is expected to look identical to the concept.
The crossover will be powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that churns out a maximum power output of 360bhp and 450Nm of torque. The model sports the performance oriented AMG 4MATIC all-wheel drive system and the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sports transmission. It accelerates to 100kmph from stand still in under five seconds.
Mercedes is also expected to launch the S600 Maybach, which will be an extra-long wheelbase model. The vehicle measures around 5.5 meters long and will have a 2+2 seating arrangement. Under the hood, it gets the 5.5-litre V12 engine producing 585bhp of power.
