Mercedes-Benz to unveil GLA at Frankfurt, Elantra facelift images revealed

Mercedes-Benz hasn’t just displaced Audi as the Number 1 in sales in July, but the company on a global level is preparing to introduce the GLA at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The GLA will compete with the X1 and Q3 in India and should land on our shores sometime in 2014. On the other hand, we get the facelift images of the Elantra. This sedan from Hyundai has been doing well for Hyundai and the Korean manufacturer has been extremely aggressive with all its products, hence without any delay we could soon see the facelift version. Mercedes-Benz GLA compact crossover revealed; More details emerged Couple of days back, Mercedes-Benz teased the official sketch of the much awaited GLA compact crossover on its Facebook fan page, and now the first official images and details of the production version are officially out, ahead of its debut at September's Frankfurt Motor Show. Skoda announces two new Yeti models; Debut at Frankfurt The Czech automaker, Skoda has announced the two variants of its compact SUV - the elegant and stylish Skoda Yeti for the urban usages, and an adventurous off-road Skoda Yeti. Both the models of Skoda Yeti feature a new front and rear, new alloy wheels, fresh interiors, advanced technological features and extended engine/gear combinations. Both models will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Luxury car market still on a rise, Mercedes-Benz leads the sales Despite the slowing economy and shrinking car market, the luxury car market is on a rise. Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Jaguar Land Rover and even Volvo have been growing this year as well. Mercedes-Benz has registered a growth of 22% in this fiscal year till July as the company sold about 4575 units, while JLR India has seen a growth of 68% in the last quarter. Volvo too has been witnessing a growth in its sales and Mr Tomas Ernberg had mentioned that the company has seen a growth of 50% in this year already. Fiat introduces Freedom Drive for its customers Fiat has launched “Freedom Drive” for customers in which they can drive away for three nights in a FIAT car to a location of their choice. This offer also includes attractive exchange package where in customers can avail benefits upto Rs 1 Lakh. Customers can also win assured gifts on booking the Linea and Punto. Hindustan Motors to launch Outlander diesel by early 2014 Japanese automaker Mitsubishi that discontinued all of its sedans in India a couple of months back due to their poor sales performance, is now focussing only on SUVs. Their current line-up consists of Pajero Sport and Montero, and soon we will see the relaunch of the company's flagship SUV Outlander, which was phased out last year. The reason behind the discontinuation of the Outlander was the unavailability of the diesel version, while most of its competitors were in diesel trim. Toyota Camry Hybrid Launching this month The world leader in hybrid cars, Toyota Motors is now all set to launch the Camry hybrid in India by end of this month. Hybrid version of the flagship car Hybrid will be top-of-the line variant, which will be priced around Rs. 35 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The company is also planning to start the assembly of its hybrid cars in India to bring down their cost. Moreover, the firm has also launched the facelifted Elantra in the Korean auto market. The new Elantra comes with a refreshed design and improved product features. Mercedes-Benz to start local assembly of GL-Class this month Mercedes-Benz India has recently launched the new GL-Class SUV in the Indian car market for Rs. 77.5 lakh. At the launch, the company also announced the local assembly for the vehicle later, but the vehicle initially came in the country via CBU (Completely Built Unit) route. Now, the German automaker is all set to start the CKD assembly of the GL350 CDI from 26th August, 2013, at the company's Chakan manufacturing Unit. BMW to get i3 and the 4 Series at the Frankfurt Motor Show Frankfurt Motor Show is one of the biggest shows in Europe and especially in Germany, hence most of the German manufacturers showcase their new products at this event held at Messe Frankfurt.
