New Generation Scorpio Automatic launched, priced at Rs. 13.13 lac

To remain strong in the SUV segment, Mahindra has introduced the Automatic variant of the New Generation Scorpio. Available on the top end S10 2WD variant, this automatic version is attractively priced at Rs. 13.13 lac (Ex-showroom, New Delhi). This is the only SUV in the segment to offer 6-speed automatic transmission with 4WD as an option. 

Mahindra Scorpio is equipped with 2.2 litre mHawk diesel engine that produces the power of 120 bhp at 4000 rpm and the maximum torque of 280 Nm at 1800-2800 rpm. 

During the event, Pravin Shah, President & Chief Executive, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd stated, “The Scorpio broke new ground when it was launched more than a decade ago and since then we have regularly upgraded the Scorpio to ensure that it stays relevant. At Mahindra, it is our constant endeavour to make advanced technology more accessible and affordable to our customers. In fact, the Scorpio was the first Indian SUV to launch an Automatic transmission in 2008 and now, we offer our customers an automatic option on Scorpio’s New Generation Platform. I am sure that the New Generation Scorpio Automatic will be an instant hit with our customers and further enhance the appeal of this iconic brand.”

Mahindra launched its New Generation Scorpio in September 2014 featuring a new platform with cushion suspension and Anti-Roll technologies and boasts aggressive exterior styling, luxurious blue-grey interiors and advanced technology features.
