New Hyundai ix35 pricing and specification revealed (UK)

Hyundai, the South Korean automaker has announced the pricing and specifications of the new ix35 compact SUV. The new ix35 will go on sale in UK from 1 September 2013, and will feature a number of new standard equipment features. The new Hyundai ix35 will be available in five different trims - entry-level S, mid-range SE and SE Nav and two top-of-the line variants called 'Premium' and 'Premium Panorama'. The new Hyundai ix35 compact SUV prices start from £16,995 (INR 1673200.34) for entry-level trim and goes up to £27,755 (INR 2732549.30) for top-of-the line model.

Tony Whitehorn, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor UK, said: “The ix35 is one of the fastest-selling models in our product range with just under 30,000 units sold in the UK since launch in late 2010. The New ix35 will continue this trend as it offers retail and corporate buyers a stylish, practical and safe vehicle that is equally at home in the city as it is out of it. With the latest enhancements, the New ix35 will deliver an even greater level of value-for-money in this popular segment of the car market.”

The new ix35 will be available in three engine variants - the 1.6-litre GDi petrol and 1.7-litre and 2.0-litre CRDi engines. The company is also offering Intelligent Stop & Go (ISG) as an option on the 1.7-litre CRDi. The 135bhp, 2.0-litre 4WD is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle is now more fuel efficient, and returns 17.6kmpl of mileage.

Hyundai ix35 also offers a comprehensive list of new standard features across the range, which includes LED Daytime running lights and LED positioning lights, Tyre pressure monitoring system and trailer stability assist. The new ix35 also comes equipped with upgraded audio and navigation system units for each corresponding trim level. The company has also made enhancements to the ix35's existing chassis and suspension set-up, which includes dual amplitude selective dampers and side-load springs to improve ride comfort and handling.
