New Nissan Sunny vs Old Sunny

Since the introduction of Nissan Sunny in the Indian car market, the sedan has received quite a lot of modifications, and this time around the 10th generation sedan got unveiled at Auto Expo'14. With the generation passed, Sunny has simply got better than before and has come up with more impressive appeal. Better enhancements at every step has made the sedan look more luxurious and premium; all targeted to lure more customers. It could be said that the handful updates implemented to the sedan's both inside and out will make it churn better sales for the company. The facelift Sunny looks promising and reflects the strength bound to it in order to put it high on the sales charts.

Design upgrades:

In terms of design, the sedan has evolved with more prominent upgrades that make it appear more attractive than before. Certain true innovative design changes like all-new front fascia that features new sporty boomerang-shaped headlamps and a pronounced grille. The chrome embellishments, newly designed fog-lamps and new airdams, all-together provides an up-market appeal to the new Sunny. The side profile features new 15-inch alloy wheels, chrome side molding, ORVMs with LED turn indicators and new door visor. Moving to the rear end of the car, this time sedan showcases dual tone effect and redesigned tail lamps, while the spoiler gets LED treatment.

Inside the cabin, the new Sunny has got upscaled ambiance with a new “Piano Black” central console . Apart from this, other attributes like steering mounted controls, new dashboard and upholstery. Also gets all-new leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, advanced audio system with Bluetooth connectivity. Ergonomically designed cabin makes the interior more comfortable for the occupants. The automatic climate control too gets a new design which show details over a display provided inside.

Talking about the earlier model, there was not much of chrome usage over the exteriors especially to the grille part of the sedan. Also the headlamps design featured one of those petal shaped design. It can be said, the outgoing generation of Sunny holds a subtle design, and in order to bring some fresh design changes, the company went on bringing the facelift model of the sedan.

Engine:

The engine specs have been retained with the facelift Sunny, and sports the same 1.5-litre petrol engine which churns maximum power output of 97.7bhp and 134Nm of top torque. The diesel variant is with 1.5-litre K9K diesel mill producing 84.8bhp and 200Nm of torque.
