Next Gen Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 Launched at Rs 3.06 lac

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) has launched the much awaited next generation Alto K10 at Rs 3.06 lac while the AMT variant is priced at Rs 3.80 Lac  (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). Booking of next generation Alto K10 have already started with an advance payment of Rs 10,000. Seeing the great demand of Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) in Celerio, Maruti Suzuki has decided to add the AMT gearbox in its most selling hatch Alto K10. The car delivers a fuel economy of 24.07kmpl which is 15 per cent more than the outgoing model. According to the company, over 23 lakh Altos have been sold till date.  

On the exterior, the car gets an updated front profile. The facelift model now adorns a sleeker grille, swept back headlamps, smiling chrome strip at front grille, new body colored ORVMs and door handles. While on the inside it gets dual tone interiors in black and beige, new steering wheel and new glossy black music system. The updated model also gets a new dashboard and new 3-spoke steering wheel along with front power windows, keyless entry system, internally adjustable ORVMs, gearshift indicator, key off reminder and headlamp warning buzzer. The car also gets new colours outside and inside.

New Alto K10 is 15mm higher than the older model, which favours a decent headroom and is also 15mm wider which adds more comfort as the legroom increases. 

Under the hood, the Alto K10 carries its trusted 1.0 liter K10 petrol motor which churns a max power of 77.1bhp and 90Nm of max torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission along with an AMT - Automated Manual Transmission similar to the Celerio. The car delivers a fuel economy of 24.07km/l for both manual and AMT. The hatch will also be offered with a CNG variant which carries efficiency figures of 32.36 km/kg.
