Renault Duster acknowledged by JD Power Quality Study

The Renault Duster was recognized today by the J.D. Power Asia Pacific 2013 India Initial Quality StudySM (IQS) for its outstanding quality among 15 SUVs in the extremely crowded segment.

The recognition caps an eventful first year for Duster in India. After creating a completely new segment at launch, the Renault Duster became the most awarded car in the country by securing 29 awards, including The Car of the Year and the TNS ‘Voice of Customer’ award for highest customer satisfaction in its segment.

“While developing Duster for India, “quality first” remained our mantra and the entire Renault team, along with our network of suppliers across the country, worked on the project with the same spirit”, said Marc Nassif, Managing Director, Renault India Pvt. Ltd. “Today’s recognition is a credit to the team’s efforts, especially since the J.D. Power IQS is determined by customers based on their ownership experience and regarded as a true measure of success in the market.”

Covering a period from November 2012 to July 2013, the J.D Power IQS focused on a number of quality concerns among owners, including engine and transmission, vehicle exterior, driving experience, seats and navigation. The Duster overcame competition from established products to be ranked second for its quality in the SUV space.
