Skoda India is going through a revival phase as the company is aiming to revamp its entire lineup to capture more market. Few days back, it launched the new Octavia and updated its Rapid sedan for the Indian car market. It is expected that the Czech automaker will soon launch the new Superb saloon and facelifted Yeti SUV in India, however, nothing has been confirmed about the exact launch time of these cars.

When all the car makers are preparing for the upcoming 2014 Indian Auto Expo, we expect the Czech automaker to also present few models to mark its presence. Skoda India had already phased out the Fabia hatchback from its lineup, and it certainly requires new products to remain stable in the competitive market. The company had introduced the Superb premium saloon in 2004 and Yeti SUV in 2010, and both vehicles now require a makeover to compete well against the competitors. The company is also working on the next generation Fabia hatchback, but it will not come to India before 2015.

The new Superb has been caught testing during its test rounds in India, it is expected that it could make its way to the 2014 Indian auto expo. The facelifted Yeti was showcased at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, and the company could also bring this vehicle in next year's show. The updated Superb gets revisions both to the inside and out. The exterior of the saloon features an all-new grille with new Skoda badge, head and fog-lamps, restyled bumper. It will also come equipped with bi-xenon headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights. The rear too gets some styling tweaks like the newly styled tail lamps featuring LED elements. The interior of the new Skoda Superb will get a new four-spoke steering wheel, new colour schemes, electronically adjustable front seats and reverse parking sensor.

We earlier reported that Skoda will launch the facelifted Yeti in India in the next few months after the official launch of the Octavia. The vehicle too gets some new technological features and updates, such as new and more aggressive fascia, rear view parking camera, bi-xenon lights with LED daytime running lights and KESSY keyless entry, start and exit system and others. The company could also provide smaller engines in Yeti including a 1.5-litre or the 1.6-litre diesel to make it competitive against Duster and Terrano, and it could also get the 1.2-litre TSI mill. Volkswagen, its parent company is already selling Polo with 1.2-litre TSI engine and CrossPolo with 1.5-litre diesel, and the same mill could also propel the Yeti. This will help the company to make it more cost effective.
