Chevrolet has already announced that it will launch the Trailblazer SUV in 2015 and the Spin MPV in 2016. We caught the Spin MPV testing under complete camouflage in the city of Bengaluru. While Chevrolet already has the Enjoy MPV in the market, the car hasn’t been able to succeed as much the company would have liked. Chevrolet Spin, upon launch, could be replacing Enjoy or launched as a more premium offering.
The Spin is already on sale in some Asian markets and Brazil. Engine options include a 1.2-litre and a 1.5-litre petrol while the diesel version comes with a 1.3-litre unit. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed auto. While we can surely expect the 1.3-litre diesel engine to be launched in India, we have to wait and see which petrol unit is for us.
