Suzuki introduces performance-oriented new Swift Sport in Indonesia

Suzuki, the Japanese automaker will launch the sportier version of its flagship hatchback Swift in the Indonesian market. Named as New Swift Sport, the vehicle was first shown at the 21st Indonesia International Motor Show. It offers better handling, driving performance, and better quality.

The new Swift Sport features an aggressive and dignified look. The front facade sports a new grille which is incorporated with big and distinctive finned fog-lamp bezels. The vehicle now gets a high-intensity discharge headlamps with a metallic-Grey coating and newly developed rear combination lamps with a cylindrical design. Inside the cabin, the new Swift Sport gets a five-dial meter cluster, leather wrapped steering wheel and upmarket upholstery.

The new Swift Sport is powered by a new M16A, 4-cylinder DOHC VVT engine that churns out a maximum power output of 134.2bhp and a peak torque of 160Nm. The engine is mated to a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) with a low- and high-range auxiliary gearbox that gives a wider range of gear ratios, so it promotes both acceleration and fuel economy. The shift paddles allow the driver to change gears without letting go of the steering wheel. The vehicle will also be made available with six-speed manual transmissions.

The new Suzuki Swift Sport comes equipped with a range of Safety components including ESP (Electronic Stability Program) as standard, Six airbags and others.
