Updated Maruti Suzuki Ertiga to be Revealed on August 20, 2015

Earlier, we had reported that Maruti is working on its mid-ranged MUV Ertiga, which is doing pretty well in the Indian and Indonesian market. Based on the Swift's platform, the Ertiga has not found preference among the commercial users, but it is mostly liked by the typical Indian families who need all the features of MPV at the price of a C-segment sedan. With the goal to compete well in the market, the company is revealing the updated version of this popular MUV on August 20, 2015 at the Indonesian International Motor Show. We can expect the refreshed version of Ertiga on the Indian soil shortly after that.

Apart from some external styling tweaks, facelifted Ertiga is also coming with a handful of interior changes. The cabin now gets a new upholstery, automatic climate control and push start button in the top end version. Also, we are expecting an upgrade in infotainment system along with power folding wing mirrors. When it comes to exteriors, it is beautified with chrome slats along with an updated front bumper having chrome inserts. The vehicle is also coming up with all new alloy wheel design for the top variant and distinct wheel cap design for the mid and lower variants. However, the biggest change we can expect in the facelift is the addition of Auto Gear Shift. The company has said it many times that they want AGS (Auto Gear Shift) in every segment and the facelift Ertiga could also get this.

When it comes to engine, the company is using the same motor, but this time with better fuel efficiency. With these upgrades in the Ertiga, Maruti can expect it to compete with the likes of Honda Mobilio and the recently launched Renault Lodgy MPV.
