What to expect from the all new Maruti Suzuki Alto K10

The new Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 has been a sales success and now it’s less popular twin, Alto K10, gets a complete makeover. The all-new Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 will be based on the same platform as the Alto 800 but will get its own design upgrade, both outside and inside while the biggest reason for the new Alto K10 is the availability of the automatic gearbox or AMT as the Celerio. We list out the new features that the Alto K10 brings on to the road.

The new Alto K10 is shorter in length and height than the outgoing car but is wider and gets the same wheel base. On first glance, the new Alto K10 does resemble the Alto 800 but the differences in design aren’t too small to miss.

In the front, the Alto K10 gets a new face with a new grille, new bumper and swept back headlamps. The car resembles the Alto 800 more towards the side profile but the rear gets new tail lamps, new tail gate and a new rear bumper. The number plate has now been moved to the bumper from the tail gate.

Inside, the blue-black interiors of the old car are gone and the new Alto K10 gets a black-beige colour scheme. New things on the inside include steering wheel, instrument cluster, piano finish music system with CD, USB and Aux-in support and silver accents. The seats are finished in beige upholstery.

The new Alto K10 is powered by the same 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder engine that makes 68 PS of maximum power and 90 Nm of peak torque. The new Alto K10 is available either with a 5-speed manual gearbox or AMT. This will make the Alto K10 the cheapest automatic car when launched. The fuel efficiency has also been given a significant improvement. The new Alto K10 will return 24.07 km/l for both manual and AMT. The car will also be offered with a CNG variant that comes with a fuel efficiency of 32.36 km/kg.
