ACC inches up after strong Q3 earnings

ACC rose 0.81% to Rs 1,496.20 at 14:24 IST on BSE after consolidated net profit surged 61.98% to Rs 192.60 crore on 9.26% growth in total income to Rs 2847.23 crore in Q3 September 2014 over Q3 September 2013.

The Q3 result was announced during market hours today, 30 October 2014.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 218.84 points or 0.81% at 27,317.01.

On BSE, so far 40,000 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 25,000 shares in the past two weeks.

The stock was volatile. The stock rose as much as 1.66% at the day's high of Rs 1,509 so far during the day. The stock lost as much as 0.69% at the day's low of Rs 1,474 so far during the day.

ACC is a manufacturer of cement and ready mixed concrete with a countrywide network of factories and sales offices.
