Alembic net profit declines 67.93% in the March 2014 quarter

Sales decline 27.65% to Rs 31.21 crore

Net profit of Alembic declined 67.93% to Rs 1.27 crore in the quarter ended March 2014 as against Rs 3.96 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2013. Sales declined 27.65% to Rs 31.21 crore in the quarter ended March 2014 as against Rs 43.14 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2013.

For the full year,net profit rose 157.01% to Rs 29.53 crore in the year ended March 2014 as against Rs 11.49 crore during the previous year ended March 2013. Sales declined 18.63% to Rs 141.08 crore in the year ended March 2014 as against Rs 173.39 crore during the previous year ended March 2013.
