All sectoral indices on BSE in red

The S&P BSE Realty, Bankex and Power indices dropped by 2.89% to 4.42% at 10:25 IST on BSE, being among the major losers from the sectoral indices on BSE..

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 499.54 points or 1.94% at 25,265.24. Key benchmark indices slumped today, 4 September 2015, tracking weakness in Asian markets.

All the twelve sectoral indices on BSE were in the red. The S&P BSE Realty index (down 4.42%), the S&P BSE Bankex (down 3.5%), the S&P BSE Power index (down 2.89%), the S&P BSE Metal index (down 2.69%), the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index (down 2.59%), the S&P BSE Auto index (down 2.45%), and the S&P BSE Oil & Gas index (down 2.31%) fell. The decline of these indices was higher than Sensex's fall in percentage terms. The S&P BSE Teck index (down 1.14%), the S&P BSE Capital Goods index (down 1.72%), the S&P BSE IT index (down 1.18%), the S&P BSE FMCG index (down 0.57%) and the S&P BSE Healthcare index (down 1.63%) declined. The decline of these indices was lower than Sensex's fall in percentage terms.
