Alstom T&D India drops after posting weak Q4 results

Alstom T&D India dropped 4.7% to Rs 360.25 at 12:05 IST on BSE after the company's net profit fell 44.72% to Rs 29.87 crore on 28.53% decrease in total income to Rs 977.93 crore in Q4 March 2016 over Q4 March 2015.

The result was announced after market hours yesterday, 3 May 2016.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 38.78 points or 0.15% at 25,190.92.

On BSE, so far 21,801 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 11,769 shares in the past one quarter. The stock hit a low of Rs 357 and a high of Rs 369.90 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 349 on 29 February 2016. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 607.05 on 9 July 2015. The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 3 May 2016, falling 13.95% compared with the Sensex's 0.16% fall. The scrip had also underperformed the market in past one quarter, dropping 14.14% as against Sensex's 4.15% gains.

The mid-cap company has equity capital of Rs 51.21 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.

Alstom T&D India's net profit fell 35.71% to Rs 77.51 crore on 7.3% decrease in total income to Rs 3450.31 crore in the year ended March 2016 over the year ended March 2015.

Alstom T & D India's board of directors recommended dividend of Rs 1.80 per share for the year ended 31 March 2016.
