Bharat Petroleum Corporation announced that at about 1445 hrs on 8 August, 2018, a leak was observed in the reactor effluent air fin cooler section of Hydrocracker unit of Mumbai Refinery, Bharat Petroleum Corporation. Immediately depressurization was started. At about 1450 hrs. fire broke out in that area. By 1530 hrs., the fire was brought under control. There are no fatalities.The fire was put off at around OJ 10 hrs on 09 August 2018.
