The Board of KIC Metaliks approved the expansion and modernisation of the Company's existing pig iron plant by installation of pulverised coal injection system for the existing mini blast furnace, along with installation of nitrogen plant and oxygen plant. To increase the sinter feed in the MBF, a 25 m^2 annular sinter Plant will also be installed. The proposed project is expected to reduce the coke rate consumption resulting in reduction of cost of production coupled with an increase in the production capacity of the existing MBF from 165,000 MTPA to 235,000 MTPA. The proposed project is expected to be completed in a period of 12 months with an capital outlay of Rs 68 crore.Powered by Capital Market - Live News
