Cadila Healthcare said Zydus Cadila has received tentative approval from the US drug regulator to market Empagliflozin tablets, in the strengths of 10 mg and 25 mg. The medication is used together with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with Type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is also used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death in adult patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus and established cardiovascular disease.

Avenue Supermarts on Friday (10 April) informed that nearly 50% of the company's stores remain closed for operations based on directive by the local authorities. Avenue Supermarts owns and operates D-Mart stores, a national supermarket chain that offers customers a range of home and personal products under one roof.

TCS said that the meeting of the board of directors of the company is scheduled on 16 April 2020, to consider and approve audited consolidated financial results for the Q4 and year ended 31 March 2020.

Dr Reddy's Laboratories informed that the company has received the Establishment Inspection Report (EIR) from USFDA, for API manufacturing plant 5 at Miryalaguda, Nalgonda district, Telangana, indicating closure of the audit and the inspection classification of this facility is determined as Voluntary Action Indicated (VAI).

Bharat Dynamics (BDL) on Friday (10 April) said it recorded a turnover of Rs 3095 crore (provisional and unaudited) for the financial year ended on 31 March 2020 (FY20). The turnover was up 0.85% in FY20 from Rs 3069 crore recorded in the financial year ended on 31 March 2019 (FY19).

Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) informed that its total physical volumes handled fell 3.85% to 9,41,270 twenty foot equivalent units (TEUs) in Q4 March 2020 from 9,78,930 TEUs in Q4 March 2019.

Sagar Cements said that consolidated cement sales declined 32.48% to 227,094 MT in March 2020 compared with 336,341 MT in March 2019. Consolidated cement production tumbled 28% to 252,747 MT in March 2020 as against 351,004 MT in March 2019.

SMS Pharmaceuticals on 9 April 2020 issued updates against US drug regulator's statement in connection with Ranitidine. In September 2019, the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) observed that some Ranitidine medicines contain a nitrosamine impurity called N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) at low levels. USFDA has requested Ranitidine formulation manufacturers to withdraw all prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) ranitidine drugs from the market immediately as part of an ongoing investigation of a contaminant NDMA in Ranitidine medications.

Trident on Friday (10 April) said production declined in its home & textiles division and paper & chemicals division during March 2020. In the home & textiles division, the production of bath linen tumbled 37.91% to 2,745 metric tonnes in March 2020 over 4,421 metric tonnes in March 2019. In the paper & chemicals division, the production of paper slumped 29% to 9,615 metric tonnes in March 2020 as against 13,541 metric tonnes in March 2019. Production of chemical fell 25% to 6,291 metric tonnes in March 2020 over 8,367 metric tonnes in March 2019.

Seamec on Friday, 10 April 2020, said it secured a contract from ONGC to deploy vessel, SEAMEC II, for five years. The aggregate value of the contract is $127,717,725.

Camlin Fine Sciences said that the company has resumed trial production at its manufacturing unit situated in Dahej, Gujarat from 10 April 2020.
