Cipla standalone net profit declines 83.81% in the March 2016 quarter

Sales rise 2.88% to Rs 2682.52 crore

Net profit of Cipla declined 83.81% to Rs 34.62 crore in the quarter ended March 2016 as against Rs 213.90 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2015. Sales rose 2.88% to Rs 2682.52 crore in the quarter ended March 2016 as against Rs 2607.32 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2015.

For the full year,net profit rose 18.37% to Rs 1398.03 crore in the year ended March 2016 as against Rs 1181.09 crore during the previous year ended March 2015. Sales rose 21.19% to Rs 11735.18 crore in the year ended March 2016 as against Rs 9683.29 crore during the previous year ended March 2015.
