Cyient hits 52-week low

Cyient dropped 1.3% to Rs 462.15 at 12:05 IST on BSE with the stock extending previous session's 3.98% losses triggered by the company reporting weak Q3 results.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 23.75 points, or 0.1%, to 24,749.22.

On BSE, so far 7,089 shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 14,119 shares in the past one quarter. The stock hit a low of Rs 447.70 so far during the day, which is also a 52-week low for the stock. The stock hit a high of Rs 468 in intraday trade. The stock hit a record high of Rs 641 on 15 October 2015. The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 14 January 2016, dropping 4.65% compared with Sensex's 1.5% fall. The scrip had also underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 20.11% as against Sensex's 7.49% fall.

The mid-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 56.24 crore. Face value per share is Rs 5.

Shares of Cyient had declined 3.98% to Rs 468.25 yesterday, 14 January 2016 after announcing weak Q3 results. Cyient's consolidated net profit dropped 11.85% to Rs 86.84 crore on 1.31% rise in revenue to Rs 781.80 crore in Q3 December 2015 over Q2 September 2015. The result was announced during market hours yesterday, 14 January 2016. Operating margin declined to 14.1% in Q3 December 2015 as against 15.1% in Q2 September 2015. Operating profit fell 5.3% to Rs 110.20 crore in Q3 December 2015 over Q2 September 2015.
