Nifty December 2015 futures trade at premium to spot price

The December 2015 futures on 50-unit Nifty 50 index traded at 7648.50, at a premium of 36 points compared to Nifty's closing of 7612.50 in the cash market. Turnover on NSE's F&O segment rose to Rs 2.03 lakh crore from turnover of Rs 1.64 lakh crore registered yesterday, 8 December 2015.

In the cash market, the Nifty lost 89.20 points or 1.16% to settle at 7,612.50, its lowest level since 7 September 2015.

Dr Reddy's Laboratories, Axis Bank, Tata Motors, Larsen & Toubro and Tata Consultancy Services were the top traded individual stock futures contracts on the futures & options (F&O) segment of NSE.

Dr Reddy's Laboratories December 2015 futures traded at 3007, at a premium compared to the stock's spot closing of 2999.

Axis Bank December 2015 futures traded at 453.50, at a premium compared to the stock's spot closing of 451.80.

Tata Motors December 2015 futures traded at 396.30, at a premium compared to the stock's spot closing of 394.15.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) December 2015 futures traded at 1304.45, at a premium compared to the stock's spot closing of 1300.90.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) December 2015 futures traded at 2373.50, at a premium compared to the stock's spot closing of 2370.

The December 2015 F&O contracts are set to expire on 31 December 2015.
