FPIs continue buying

Net inflow of Rs 1122.65 crore on 2 November 2017

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 1122.65 crore from the secondary equity markets on 2 November 2017, compared with net inflow of Rs 1046.75 crore on 1 November 2017. On 2 November 2017, the Sensex fell 27.05 points or 0.08% to settle at 33,573.22, its lowest closing level since 31 October 2017.

The net inflow of Rs 1122.65 crore on 2 November 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5502.70 crore and gross sales of Rs 4380.05 crore.

There was a net inflow of Rs 414.48 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 2 November 2017, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 418.31 crore and gross sales of Rs 3.83 crore.

FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 1790.29 crore from the secondary equity markets in November 2017 so far (till 2 November 2017). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 4949.02 crore into the secondary equity markets in October 2017.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 5200.19 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2017 so far (till 2 November 2017). They had purchased shares worth a net Rs 12094.42 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2016.

FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 734.28 crore from the primary market & others' category in November 2017 so far (till 2 November 2017). They had bought stocks worth a net Rs 8004.46 crore from the primary market & others' category in October 2017.

FPIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 34732.88 crore from the 'primary markets & others' category in calendar year 2017 so far (till 2 November 2017). The net inflow from FPIs into the category 'primary markets & others' had totaled Rs 8471.76 crore in calendar year 2016.
