Govt raises excise duty on petrol, diesel by Rs 3 per litre
The hike is effective from Saturday, 14 March 2020.
Special Additional Excise Duty (SAED) on petrol and diesel was hiked up by Rs 2 per litre. Effective rate of Road and Infrastructure Cess (RIC) collected as additional duty of excise on petrol and diesel was increased by Rs 1 per litre.
