Hong Kong stock market closed session down on Monday, 25 June 2018, on the back of concerns over increasing trade friction between the United States and other economies. It was reported that US president Donald Trump may invoke emergency law to curb Chinese investments on US enterprises and start-ups. Investors find it difficult to purchase stocks at a time when the United States' trade disputes with China and the European Union are escalating. The Hang Seng index fell 1.3%, to 28,961.39, while the China Enterprises Index lost 1.2%, to 11,208.90. Turnover increased to HK$107.3 billion from HK$99 billion on Friday.
