Hong Kong Market rebounds on bargain hunting

Hong Kong stock market finished session higher on Wednesday, 23 June 2021, as investors chased for bargain hunting after heavy selloff in previous two sessions. Meanwhile, sentiments also boosted up on tracking positive lead from Wall Street overnight after the US Federal Reserve chair Jerome Powell signalled a patient approach to eventually scaling back the central bank's monetary policy support.

At closing bell, the benchmark Hang Seng Index advanced 1.79%, or 507.31 points, to 28,817.07. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index added 1.95%, or 204.11 points, to 10,673.91.

The sub-index of the Hang Seng tracking the commerce & industry sector added 2.22%, the finance sector added 1.43, utilities sector added 0.82%, and the properties sector rose 1.04%.
