Crude oil production falls 0.7% in April-July 2015
India's crude oil production declined 0.4% to 3.134 million tonnes (mt) in July 2015 over July 2014, recording fall for second straight month. Crude oil output of ONGC fell 0.4% to 1.881 mt, but that of Oil India declined 6.7% to 0.275 mt. The crude oil production of private and joint venture (JV) companies rose 1.6% to 0.978 mt.ONGC's offshore output improved 3.1% to 1.381 mt, but onshore production continued to dip at 7.5% to 0.473 mt.
Crude oil output declined 0.7% to 12.445 mt in April-July period of the fiscal year ended March 2016 (April-July 2015), in addition 0.4% decline recorded in the corresponding period of last year. Output of ONGC rose 0.8% to 7.455 mt, but that of Oil India declined 1.6% to 1.112 mt and private companies 3.3% to 3.878 mt in April-July 2015 over April-July 2014.
