Related with exclusivity of Delhi City Gas Distribution (CGD) network
Indraprastha Gas announced that Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has webhosted an order regarding exclusivity of Delhi City Gas Distribution (CGD) network. The text of the order is available on PNGRB website www.pngrb.gov.in. PNGRB has mentioned the following in its order:-1. In view of PNGRB letter of acceptance of authorization dated February 02, 2009, the exclusivity period of IGL in Delhi has ended on 01 January 2012.
2. That PNGRB is in the process of declaring CGD network in accordance with provision of Section 20 of the PNGRB Act, 2006.
In this context, IGL would like to state that the issue regarding ending of exclusivity of IGL in Delhi is sub judice before Delhi High Court vide Writ Petition no. 9374/2015. Hon'ble High Court vide order dated 30 September 2015 has directed that any order passed by the Board (PNGRB) shall be subject to further order of this Court.
