Information Technology shares fall

Information Technology stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index falling 36.5 points or 0.23% at 15533.14 at 13:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Mphasis Ltd (down 2.82%), Cigniti Technologies Ltd (down 1.78%),Ramco Systems Ltd (down 0.96%),Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (down 0.78%),Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd (down 0.5%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Infosys Ltd (down 0.33%), Mindtree Ltd (down 0.18%), and 63 Moons Technologies Ltd (down 0.09%).

On the other hand, TVS Electronics Ltd (up 4.98%), Subex Ltd (up 4.24%), and Aptech Ltd (up 3.95%) moved up.

At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 247.73 or 0.6% at 41553.75.

The Nifty 50 index was up 76.5 points or 0.63% at 12259.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 175.52 points or 1.27% at 13962.21.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 42.61 points or 0.89% at 4834.47.

On BSE,1627 shares were trading in green, 696 were trading in red and 150 were unchanged.
