Jagran Prakashan slips after large bulk deal

Jagran Prakashan fell 0.59% to Rs 126.50 at 14:56 IST on BSE after a bulk deal of 10 lakh shares was executed on the counter at Rs 126 per share at 13:17 IST on BSE today, 8 April 2015.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 217.45 points, or 0.76%, to 28,734.04

Bulk deal boosted volume on the Jagran Prakashan scrip. On BSE, so far 10.17 lakh shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 76,971 shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 130 and a low of Rs 126 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 154.40 on 24 December 2014. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 99 on 16 April 2014.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 7 April 2015, falling 2.6% compared with 3.17% decline in the Sensex. The scrip, however underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 4.32% as against Sensex's 5.97% rise.

The mid-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 65.38 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.

On a consolidated basis, Jagran Prakashan's net profit fell 1.6% to Rs 66.62 crore on 3% increase in net sales to Rs 458.40 crore in Q3 December 2014 over Q3 December 2013.
