Japanese share market finished higher for second day in row on subdued volume on Friday, 09 May 2014, as solid earnings results from bellwether companies cheered investors. However, stronger yen against the dollar capped upside. The Nikkei 225 index gained 0.25% to 14199.59, while the Topix index of all first-section shares climbed 0.47% to 1165.51.
