JSW Steel spurts, Lupin falls on Nifty rejig

Shares of JSW Steel surged and Lupin declined at 11:36 IST on BSE as the former is set to replace the latter from the Nifty 50 index with effect from 28 September 2018.

JSW Steel jumped 6.92% at Rs 391.50. Lupin fell 0.88% at Rs 893.85.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 10.40 points, or 0.03% at 38,886.23

NSE after market hours yesterday, 28 August 2018 said that the Index Maintenance Sub-Committee (IMSC) has decided to make the replacement of stocks in various indices as part of its periodic review. The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) is the leading stock exchange in India.
