Kharif Sowing Crosses 999 Lakh Hectare Mark as on 12 September, 2014

Sowing of kharif crops showed a steady increase during this week. The total sown area as on 12 September, 2014 as per reports received from States, stands at 999.18 lakh hectare as compared to 1032.88 lakh hectare at this time last year.
