KRBL jumped 5.1% to Rs 293.75 after the company announced robust Q3 numbers at the fag end of market hours today, 28 January 2020.
On a consolidated basis, KRBL's net profit jumped 48.29% to Rs 159 crore in Q3 December 2019 as against Rs 107.22 crore posted in Q3 December 2018. Revenue from Operations soared 42.02% to Rs 1328.98 crore in Q3 December 2019 over Q3 December 2018.
Profit before tax (PBT) for Q3 December 2019 stood at Rs 211.41 crore, up by 28.53% from Rs 164.48 crore reported in Q3 December 2018. Tax expenses fell 8.47% to Rs 52.41 crore in Q3 FY20 from Rs 57.26 crore posted in Q3 FY19.
KRBL is engaged in seed development, contact farming, procurement of paddy, storage, processing, packaging, branding and marketing of basmati rice.
