MRF slips after weak Q2 results

MRF fell 0.59% to Rs 65,100 at 9:25 IST on BSE after net profit declined 12.30% to Rs 263.04 crore on 9.39% rise in net sales to Rs 3928.16 crore in Q2 September 2018 over Q2 September 2017.

The result was announced on Thursday, 8 November 2018. Stock markets were shut on 8 November 2018 on account of Diwali Balipratipada.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 120.62 points, or 0.34% to 35,117.06.

On the BSE, 203 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 500 shares in the past two weeks. The stock had hit a high of Rs 65,222 and a low of Rs 64,571.60 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 81,423 on 30 April 2018. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 59,494.60 on 8 October 2018.

MRF is engaged in the manufacture and sale of automotive tires.
