Mutual funds folios rises 1.2% to 848 lakh end July 2019

The net Assets under Management (AUM) of the mutual fund (MF) industry increased by 1.2% (by Rs 0.29 lakh crore) to Rs 24.54 lakh crore in July 2019 over June 2019. The average net AUM of the industry was flat at Rs 25.81 lakh crore in July 2019 compared with June 2019.

Net inflow in the industry stood at Rs 0.87 lakh crore in July 2019, against net outflows of Rs 1.60 lakh crore in June 2019.

The overall mutual fund folios increased 1.2% to 848.0 lakh end July 2019 over 837.7 lakh end June 2019.

AUM of the Income/Debt Oriented Schemes increased 1.0% (by Rs 12620 crore) to Rs 13.23 lakh crore in July 2019 over June 2019. Meanwhile, Income/Debt Oriented Schemes registered a net inflow of Rs 58996 crore in July 2019. Net inflows in Income/Debt Oriented Schemes totaled to Rs 55336 crore in April-July 2019. The number of folios in the Income/Debt Oriented Schemes moved up 0.5% to 65.60 lakh end July 2019.

AUM of the Growth/Equity Oriented Schemes declined 1.8% (by Rs 13563 crore) to Rs 7.40 lakh crore in July 2019 over June 2019. Meanwhile, Growth/Equity Oriented Schemes registered a net inflow of Rs 8092 crore in July 2019. Net inflows in Growth/Equity Oriented Schemes totaled to Rs 24875 crore in April-July 2019. The number of folios in the Growth/Equity Oriented Schemes increased 1.0% to 611.70 lakh end July 2019.

AUM of the Hybrid Schemes fell 0.3% (by Rs 912 crore) to Rs 3.43 lakh crore in July 2019 over June 2019. Meanwhile, Hybrid Schemes registered a net inflow of Rs 7393 crore in July 2019. Net inflows in Hybrid Schemes totaled to Rs 7907 crore in April-July 2019. The number of folios in the Hybrid Schemes rose 0.4% to 96.38 lakh end July 2019.

AUM of the Solution Oriented Schemes declined 0.5% (by Rs 78 crore) to Rs 0.17 lakh crore in July 2019 over June 2019. Meanwhile, Solution Oriented Schemes registered a net inflow of Rs 155 crore in July 2019. Net inflows in Solution Oriented Schemes totaled to Rs 624 crore in April-July 2019. The number of folios in the Solution Oriented Schemes increased 0.1% to 53.85 lakh end July 2019.

AUM of the Other Schemes increased 1.2% (by Rs 1893 crore) to Rs 1.57 lakh crore in July 2019 over June 2019. Meanwhile, Other Schemes registered a net inflow of Rs 12621 crore in July 2019. Net inflows in Other Schemes totaled to Rs 16626 crore in April-July 2019. The number of folios in the Hybrid Schemes increased 21.3% to 20.35 lakh end July 2019.
