NHPC declares commercial operations of 3rd Unit of Tessta Low Dam HE Project
With effect frlom 17 July 2016
NHPC announced that consequent upon successful trial run of Unit No.# 3 of Teesta Low Dam HE Project Stage IV (4 x 40 MW) at its installed capacity of 40 MW for continuous 12 hours on dated 12 July 2016, the unit No. #3 is hereby declared under commercial operation w.e.f. 00:00 hours of 17 July 2016.Further, 100% Power generated from TLDP-IV has been allocated to the state of West Bengal and the same shall be supplied through West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL).
