Turnover drops

Nifty August 2014 futures were at 7724, at a premium of 40.35 points over spot closing of 7683.65. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment declined to Rs 128156.72 crore from Rs 178743.62 crore on Friday, 1 August 2014.

Infosys August 2014 futures were at 3473, at a premium over spot closing of 3460.10.

Tata Steel August 2014 futures were at 556, at a premium over spot closing of 552.

State Bank of India August 2014 futures were at 2480.50, at a premium over spot closing of 2463.50.

In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty surged 81.05 points or 1.07% to settle at 7,683.65, its highest closing level since 31 July 2014.

The August 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 28 August 2014.
