Turnover rises
Nifty August 2014 futures were at 7771.85, at a premium of 25.30 points over spot closing of 7746.55. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 220676.63 crore from Rs 128156.72 crore on Monday, 4 August 2014.
IRB Infrastructure Developers August 2014 futures were at 267.75, at a premium over spot closing of 265.80.
Tata Steel August 2014 futures were at 569.20, at a premium over spot closing of 565.50.
State Bank of India August 2014 futures were at 2489.90, at a premium over spot closing of 2475.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty surged 62.90 points or 0.82% to settle at 7,746.55, its highest closing level since 30 July 2014.
The August 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 28 August 2014.
