Turnover drops
Nifty January 2014 futures were at 6258.40, at a premium of 47.25 points over spot closing of 6211.15. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment declined to Rs 125902.54 crore from Rs 139091.31 crore on Thursday, 2 January 2014.
Aurobindo Pharma January 2014 futures were at 399.05, at a premium over spot closing of 395.20.
Infosys January 2014 futures were at 3579.50, at a premium over spot closing of 3561.20.
State Bank of India January 2014 futures were at 1722.30, at a premium over spot closing of 1719.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty lost 10 points or 0.16% to settle at 6,211.15, its lowest closing level since 19 December 2013.
The January 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 30 January 2014.
