Turnover drops

Nifty January 2014 futures were at 6354.90, at a premium of 50.90 points over spot closing of 6304. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment declined to Rs 52254.91 crore from Rs 66935.20 crore on Monday, 30 December 2013.

Apollo Tyres January 2014 futures were at 107.70, near spot closing of 106.85.

State Bank of India January 2014 futures were at 1763.40, near spot closing of 1761.30.

United Spirits January 2014 futures were at 2627.90, at a premium over spot closing of 2601.

In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty rose 12.90 points or 0.21% to settle at 6,304, its highest closing level since 27 December 2013.

The January 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 30 January 2014.
