Turnover declines
Nifty January 2014 futures were at 6360, at a premium of 14.35 points over spot closing of 6345.65. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment declined to Rs 114402.17 crore from Rs 126676.35 crore on Wednesday, 22 January 2014.
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) January 2014 futures were at 1,034.60, near spot closing of 1,031.50.
Axis Bank January 2014 futures were at 1,212.05, near spot closing of 1,214.90.
State Bank of India (SBI) January 2014 futures were at 1,658, near spot closing of 1,659.55.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty rose 6.70 points or 0.11% to settle at 6,345.65, its highest closing level since 9 December 2013.
The January 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 30 January 2014.
