Turnover on NSE's F&O segment rises
The Nifty December 2017 futures traded at 10530.15, a discount of 1.35 points over Nifty's spot closing of 10531.50 in the cash market.
The Nifty January 2018 futures traded at 10571, a premium of 39.50 points over Nifty's spot closing of 10531.50 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 5.19 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 4.97 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 38.50 points or 0.37% to settle at 10,531.50, its record closing high.
Jet Airways (India), HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries, Tata Steel and Reliance Capital were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Jet Airways (India) December 2017 futures traded at 820, at a discount over spot closing of 821.40. HDFC Bank December 2017 futures traded at 1867.45, at a discount over spot closing of 1870. Reliance Industries December 2017 futures traded at 937, at a premium over spot closing of 936.
Tata Steel December 2017 futures traded at 722.40, at a premium over spot closing of 720.45. Reliance Capital December 2017 futures traded at 521, at a premium over spot closing of 519.15.
The December 2017 F&O contracts expire on 28 December 2017.
