Turnover drops
Nifty June 2014 futures were at 7357.80, at a premium of 28.15 points over spot closing of 7329.65. Nifty May 2014 futures were at 7337, near spot closing. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment declined to Rs 247690.82 crore from Rs 264974.55 crore on Tuesday, 27 May 2014.
HDFC Bank May 2014 futures were at 822, near spot closing of 821.35.
State Bank of India May 2014 futures were at 2599, at a discount compared to spot closing of 2612.30.
ICICI Bank May 2014 futures were at 1465, at a premium over spot closing of 1462.70.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty rose 11.65 points or 0.16% to settle at 7,329.65, its highest closing level since 26 May 2014.
The June 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 26 June 2014. The near-month May 2014 derivatives contracts expire tomorrow, 29 May 2014.
