Nifty June 2014 futures fall below 7300

Turnover spurts

Nifty June 2014 futures were at 7277, at a premium of 41.35 points over spot closing of 7235.65. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 405027.95 crore from Rs 247690.82 crore on Wednesday, 28 May 2014.

HDFC Bank June 2014 futures were at 814.65, at a premium over spot closing of 810.05.

State Bank of India June 2014 futures were at 2619, at a premium over spot closing of 2595.35.

ICICI Bank June 2014 futures were at 1435.60, at a discount compared to spot closing of 1446.20.

In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty dropped 94 points or 1.28% to settle at 7,235.65, its lowest closing level since 16 May 2014.

The June 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 26 June 2014. The May 2014 derivatives contracts expired today, 29 May 2014.
