Turnover on NSE's F&O segment rises
The March 2017 futures on the Nifty 50 index traded at 9155, at a premium of 33.50 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 9121.50 in the cash market. The April 2017 futures on the Nifty 50 index traded at 9184.90, at a premium of 63.40 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 3.90 lakh crore from Rs 2.60 lakh crore registered during previous trading session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 5.35 points or 0.06% to settle at 9,121.50, its lowest closing level since 15 March 2017.
Divi's Laboratories, Yes Bank, Idea Cellular, Tata Steel and State Bank of India were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Divi's Laboratories March 2017 futures traded at 641.95, at premium over spot closing of 639.90. Yes Bank March 2017 futures traded at 1488.85, near spot closing of 1483.55.
Idea Cellular March 2017 futures traded at 93.30, near spot closing of 92.95. Tata Steel March 2017 futures traded at 497.30, near spot closing of 495.15. State Bank of India March 2017 futures traded at 272.25, near spot closing of 271.70.
The March 2017 F&O contracts are set to expire on 30 March 2017. The April 2017 F&O contracts will expire on 27 April 2017.
